This Escazu 73% Dark Chocolate bar was roasted and then crafted in small batches in Raleigh, NC

Here at Black Mountain Chocolate Factory, we pride ourselves on featuring some of the best North Carolina hand crafted chocolate you can find.  Included in our curated collection of artisan chocolate made in NC is the Piaroa bar, made by the Escazu Chocolate Company in Raleigh, NC.  This bar is made with beans from the Venezuelan Amazon. This bar is crafted with wild-harvested cacao hand-picked by the indigenous peoples.

These beans have a quite a story to tell: Natives carry the beans by canoe for two days before reaching the processing facility. Cacao beans from this region are very rare and extremely hard to get.

Tasting the bar, you'll find notes of cashew, cream and tart fruit like cherries.
